As a queer and polyamorous woman, I absolutely LOATHE this new system. It doesn’t work. I get absolutely zero visibility to people I like. OK,Cupid is seen as a browsing+messaging site, not a swipe+match+message site. People still don’t understand how it works and don’t use it the way you’re trying to promote it. It’s only led to disappointment and confusion. You even said yourself that this new change is specifically for straight, heterosexual women — “ And if you’re a single, heterosexual woman on OkCupid this means the number of messages you receive is almost unmanageable, and at times unsettling.” Well, that’s just great. But now us queers don’t even stand a chance. I wish you would take the time to listen to your users, rather than justify this new system by whatever testing you did amongst yourselves.
