AI is getting bigger and better. Chat GPT’s new rival has arrived, and this time it seems Google has worked a lot on Bard AI updates.

What is Bard AI?
A few months ago, around December 2022, we saw this new LLM ( Large language Model) ChatGPT taking the world on a new AI ride. Search anything on Chat GPT, it will give you the answer. Many were satisfied, many weren’t.
Meanwhile, Google launched Bard AI, another large Language Model, which was similar to ChatGPT. Unfortunately, Bard AI didn’t live up to expectations, and Google decided to rework this tool.
On 10th May, Bard AI was again live in 180 countries, and I am happy to share that India was on the list of 180 countries. The moment, I logged in, to this tool, I was blown away by the kind of results it was giving.
It has been almost 10 days, and I am continuously using Bard AI, as a powerhouse for my content idea generation process.
Now, we will dig a little deeper and understand how Bard AI is different from Chat GPT?
ChatGPT and Bard are both large language models, but we have some key differences. ChatGPT is based on OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 foundational GPT models, while Bard is based on Google AI’s LaMDA model. This means that Bard has been trained on a different dataset of text and code.
For example, Bard is better at understanding and responding to complex questions, while ChatGPT is better at generating creative text formats.
The big difference is Bard AI works on a conversational model, however Chat GPT works on generative pre-trained transformer
In Layman’s TERMS Bard AI is that cousin, who will give you extra information about any topic, however, CHATGPT is you, the introverted, straight-forward guy/girl.
Here is the example of how both tools might respond differently to the same question:
PROMPT: What is the meaning of life?
- ChatGPT:
The meaning of life is to be happy and to make a difference in the world.
- Bard AI
The meaning of life is a question that has been asked by philosophers and theologians for centuries.
There is no one answer that will satisfy everyone, but some possible answers include finding happiness, making a difference in the world, or simply living each day to the fullest.
Not only that, but Bard AI has a lot of advantages over ChatGPT. Here are 10 different aspects where Bard AI is taking over ChatGPT :
1) BARD IS FREE!!!
On one side, Chat GPT has different versions, GPT, GPT 3.5 &GPT 4. If you want better service, you will have to pay $20 per month, Bard AI, on the other hand, is totally free!
2) Works on Real time
As per the info, Chat GPT’s knowledge is limited to 2021. However Bard AI, is overcoming this limitation with it’s real time search.
Experiment — I tried to get the latest sports news.
Result — Bard AI correctly informed everything .
3) Adds more variety
VIEW OTHER DRAFTS With every prompt, in reply, alongside the main Reply, there will be an option of “VIEW OTHER DRAFTS”
According to Google ‘This is to add more variety’ Not only this, more variations also means that you do not need to repeat same prompt again and again to get more creative answers, which I feel, is a smart move by Bard AI.
4) STOP TYPING
Start using a voice assistant. You can easily use the voice assistant option now.
5) Export in Docs or directly send in Gmail
As a content creator, I can say, this is a wonderful update. At times while working on ChatGPT, I had to Copy-Paste the whole content & then edit.
Honestly, it was a time-consuming process. However Bard AI got a brownie point here!
6) Dark theme option
You can now easily switch between a light background with dark text and a dark background with light text.” According to Google, “a dark theme can make using Bard easier on your eyes in dim light.”
7) Summarize any website
This option works like a teacher for me. I had some hard time understanding few topics of Web3. Bard AI came as a saviour.
Experiment — Try to get a summary of poem by Rumi. Here is the result.

8) The option GOOGLE IT- RELATED QUERIES
Alongside download, Bard AI comes with Google it option, which is nothing but an option to search related queries regarding the topic.
Experiment — I had the summary of Rumi’s poem.
Clicked on Google it, which showed me 2 related queries —
- What is the theme of love in Rumi’s poetry?
- What is the best love quotes Rumi?
9) Great at collecting data
You can ask Bard for the last 10 years of data, and it will give you it in a compiled form.
You can now — Collect data — Use it for your content

10) Coder’s Paradise
Bard is excellent in coding. According to the tool “It can now help you code in over 20 programming languages.”
When Bard generates Python code, you can also export and test the code directly in Google Colab.
Try prompting Bard for help with languages like C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript and even Google Sheets functions.
