Storms

I miss you the most when it rains

how you’d pull me closer when the heavens roared

how you’d cover me with your warmth when the cold set in

how you’d kiss my shoulder in reassurance when the skies spat fire

it’s been raining for two days now

your absence is as loud as the raging storm outside

it threatens to tear down what’s left of my world

did you hear me whisper to the rain yesterday?

with clothes clinging to my frame I sobbed calling out for you

i hoped the rain would deliver my tear stained letter at your door

i hoped you’d come knocking on mine

i hoped you’d put your mouth on mine and kiss me senseless

i hoped you’d lay me down and stroke me to sleep

i hoped you’d hold me in the raging storm like you did before

but I remembered

it’s summer where you are

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
