The gap is real. It’s interesting to me how a first world country like the US can be so entrenched in outdated role perceptions. We are simultaneously a bed for innovation, yet we are so far from having balance and maturity in areas like gender role. Iran and Pakistan have had female leaders in their country. In Hong Kong, no one blinks twice at a female executive or political leader. I’m not suggesting we follow any of those countries as we must find our own way, but simply supporting the point the gap is real. I enjoyed your article 🤓
