Facebook Reactions: How to Use it

Reactions, a new feature for Facebook’s Like button that allows you to respond to posts with emoji. Users can now hover over the “Like” button to choose a visual expression to use in a post. The like expressions include “love,” “haha,” “wow,” “sad” and “angry.”

How to use it?

Reactions is as an extension of the current Like button. It works with any post on Facebook and it appears whenever you see the Like button. You get a panel of six different reactions you can add to a post.

“We understand that this is a big change, and want to be thoughtful about rolling this out,” Sammi Krug. “For more than a year, we have been conducting global research including focus groups and surveys to determine what types of reactions people would want to use most. We also looked at how people are already commenting on posts and the top stickers and emoticons as signals for the types of reactions people are already using to determine which reactions to offer.” From an article published on the newsroom.fb.com.
