Halloween poem
The witches spook, the goblins laugh.
The trees hug whoever crosses their path.
The moon shines early over head
Could you tell the difference from the walking dead?
Hearts pound, blood races
Eager looks from little faces
Spiders climb up your window
Spinning a web putting you in limbo.
A fly goes by, caught in it’s trap
It’s last breath is it’s mishap
Fancy clothes and Gothic trails
Could you tell what is real?
Mysterious clouds shutter the light
A red film floats through the night
People scream and disappear
Could you run away from your fear?
Walking through this realm where I dwell
Trapped inside my own prison cell
Seeing the orange over glow
Watching people come and go
Freaky things rule the night
We all laugh at your fright
Open your eyes and wonder if it’s a dream
Is everything really as it may seem?
