The Value of the College Degree is Crashing. Here’s How to Fix It.

It’s actually infuriating and demoralizing that students now have to pay SO much to be minimally acceptable. I’m Gen-X — we were in the same situation, but it was barely possible when I went to school to pay for it without loans, but when we graduated there weren’t jobs available. So we worked 2–4 lousy minimum-wage jobs to keep a roof over our heads. College graduates today are doing exactly the same, only under the burden of a mortgage-sized loan on top of it.
