Making Sandwiches at Work Is Not a Money-Saving “Hack” of Any Kind
Megan Reynolds

For four years I walked to work and had a relatively flexible schedule so had plenty of time to make bulk lunches to take to work everyday. They were sad lunches. Now, I have an hour commute each way and an inflexible schedule. I buy a Pret sandwich and chips because it means more minutes to read in the park on my lunch hour. The difference in my finances is negligible since I now buy way fewer groceries. And I don’t have to spend my reduced amount of free time shopping and cooking. So 6 of one, half dozen the other for me.
