You say that the reason you find “fat chicks” repulsive is evolutionary, but have you ever thought about how much of this feeling is due to cultural conditioning? Other societies, both now and historically, have favoured all manner of different female body shapes and sizes (it would seem that female objectification is universal, if nothing else).
Additionally, the argument doesn’t hold up scientifically. In order to continue the species, we don’t need to live much past 30. Our recent longevity is due to advances in medicine, and no other creature experiences as lengthy a senescence as humans. Being overweight has at various times in the past been seen as a sign of health and wealth, indicating that culture and environment play a significant role in what we deem as attractive.
Of course, everyone has their own preferences, but it seems strange to me that someone would reject a potential partner on the basis of a single physical characteristic — because that would present itself differently from person to person. Some people look their best when thin, others when they’re fat. And some people are either so stunning or so ugly that other characteristics don’t matter.
Most women know that men who buy into the idea of “high value men”, and hold sexist ideas about fat women, are to be avoided. We set our own standards for what is a “decent man”.
