My First Blog

Usually the busy schedule of life often doesn’t allow people time to sit down write what is buzzing around in their head. However allowing time to sit down and reflect on what you have learnt that day or interesting ideas that have come up during your day to day, allows others to share your thoughts and create new ones. As a future primary educator, I think that it is important to share ideas that surround the teaching profession, especially difficult aspects of teaching, for example teaching children with disabilities. Blogs create a support network for teachers to post their thoughts in a safe space, this allows two very important process’ to happen. The first is that teachers can put down their thought that they may keep bubbled up that they come across in their day to day life. This will allow other teachers to give feedback and for future teachers to grasp an idea on what an educators life is like. The second process is that other teachers or future teachers can read blogs and create their own thoughts based on the blogs thought. This becomes thinking about another persons’ thinking. This allows new innovative ways of teaching to be created, new ways for children to engage with the year by year syllabus. The title reads to blog or to jog, this question invites an individual to think about should they share their own ideas in a blog, or to continue with their own set teaching patter without the influence of other teachers or future teachers in the profession. I think that educators should share their experiences and ideas in blogs and contribute to the teaching network that already exists. This is what i will aim to do in my future blogs, to discuss issues as well as thoughts and idea surrounding the teaching profession’ and in particular the primary education sector.
