Writings from the Past : Two Colors

I feel natural and humble

earthy as the grass and kind as a worn

out pair of blue jeans.

I seem quite rational and understanding.

And some days, I am an imaginative silver,

full of wisp and wonder,

thinking that anything is possible and

there is creativity in even the most

simplest of things.

But, my all time favorite days are the ones where

my two colors combine.

They help me look back at all the good

things that have come and went,

And to imagine all the great things yet

to arrive.

I wrote this January 22nd, 2010 as an assignment for English class. I found it last week while cleaning out my desk drawers.
