Why I am ‘Keen on Kingston’.

I have lived in the Royal Borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames for over 11 years and I love where we live! When we moved house 5 years ago, we looked at all different areas we could live but nothing had the diversity or vibrancy of our current Borough! We moved ‘’a stones throw’ from Kingston to Surbiton, a bit more suburban, but still with the luxury of everything being close by.

Having a family now, the places we frequent have changed somewhat! Not so much late night drinking and pub-crawls around Kingston and Surbiton, (although we still give it a ‘good go’ on occasion) but family meals out with the kids, walks, cycling and picnics in some of the beautiful parks and fun days out.

It is all too easy to ‘stick with what you know’ and not to explore new options and possibilities. I want to showcase all that Kingston, Surbiton and the surrounding areas have on offer and re-invigorate us to try new things and get involved with our local community. Shop in new places, mooch round the markets, discover ‘hidden gems’ of bars and restaurants and feel inspired to have some incredible ‘days out’.
