I’ll be honest. I was completely unfamiliar with the phrase “snatch a knot in their ass.” So I did some research. I made sure my Google search for the phrase was for periods only before this week.

This popped up on urban dictionary.com with the definition provided in 2005.

To hit someone, usually used in a threat of punishment or retribution. A knot is generally snatched in one’s ass, though variants include the neck and the head.
Boy, if I ever catch you looking around under my mattress again, I’m’a snatch a knot in your ass!”

Onlineslangdictionary.com provided a similar, perhaps even more strongly worded definition:

to get beat up; to severely injure
If you don’t leave me alone, I’m going to snatch a knot in your ass.

This sort of thing used to result in a censure from the House. But in the new “normal” of non-civility established by our President, nothing will happen.
