Poetry: Contemplating You

your eyes are a kaleidoscope of everything
i want to get lost in them
piece by piece
till i become you

maybe then i would understand your intricacies
maybe then i would fathom your awkwardness
contemplating you is like thinking in eight
dimensions

is it the parabolic curve of your lips and how you never stutter?
or the wisdom i garner with every word you
utter?

is it the smell of your perfume that always
lingers?
or the sensation that your touches trigger?

is it your immaculate smile and how it never
fails to dazzle?
or how you hold me at ransom without flinching a muscle?

is it how i’m still addicted to you with every
dose?
or how your flaws complement you? only heaven knows

contemplating you is a journey
down an undulating road
that meanders
into oblivion

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
