My sister and I had this conversation last night. We’re both very liberal (I’ll be attending a march on Saturday), but she’s a lawyer clerking for a district court judge, and will be starting a full time job at DOJ in the fall. She’s strictly prohibited from publicly displaying any political leanings, including donating to candidates, liking their FB pages, or attending any politicial rallies. She’s a bit heartbroken to not be able to attend a march on Saturday, but it could literally cost her her job if she were to go.
