Hey Guys, Progress Report For No Bad O!

So, back in 2014, accelerator programme jointly formed by 88mph and L5 Labs, 440.ng announced the 9 startups accepted into its program.

4 of the startups were into e-commerce, 2 education while the others were not really classifiable, according to this awesome writer.

440.ng’s choice of startups didn’t go down well with some people in the budding tech community. HERE & HERE, those people aired their views but the views of those people HERE got my attention. It was pure fire!!!

Some of the comments were pure insults thrown at the organizers - someone called them "umpha lumpas" (I had to Google the word and Christ, it's not nice!). Some were constructive rants. Others were words of advice. Some were just foolish and ignorant talks...literally.

The purpose of this short post is to call out on the startups that were selected to take out time and provide the tech community with some sort of ermmmmmm....progress report (or report sheet if you like).

This call is not to spite anyone (and I don’t expect the startups to drop a you-said-we-weren’t-gonna-make-it-but-look-where-we-are-now kinda report), but a genuine desire to know how the startups have faired so far - it’s been two years now.

I believe the reports (if eventually prepared and got out) would go a long in enlightening someone, encouraging someone or even changing someone from being a non-believer in others.

So guys - Jay Osbie, Ella Matthew, Jara Mall, Young Soul, Taja, Fuel Voucher, Click Right Consult, PrayerBox and Obiwezy - a progress report for no bad o!

PS. One dude was particularly vocal and vehement on that thread. His startup’s domain, washlify.com, is up for sale. Go grab it if you please!
