Interesting article! What you wrote about caring for your work really strikes a chord. I also agree that having faith in yourself instead of placing it into a productivity system, other people, etc. is key. However, I believe that if you have the right tools and techniques at your disposal and you use them correctly, you may not be able to enhance your ability to care about your work but it can definitely help you leverage more faith in yourself. This sounds like it goes against what your wrote but it does not. That is because there is something you left out. Reading about different productivity systems and trying to force fit them into your workflow is doomed for failure. You have to actually apply the tools correctly. I am writing a series of articles describing how to make Getting Things Done (GTD) easier to use. The techniques could be applied to any productivity system.
