Getting Into Feature Writing

My wife pointed something out to me that I didn’t realize until I began to write during the day at my job: my love and appreciation for feature writing.

Feature writing is one of those things that allow me to actually
be able to tell the stories of other people.

Feature writing is a LOT of fun for me.

In fact, I’ve even been thinking about adjusting a lot of my blog writing to an interview style writing so I can focus on telling the stories of others.

I believe in feature writing for the same reason that I believe in storytelling of all kinds. I believe in feature writing because it allows you, as a writer, to tell someone else’s story in such a way that it not only generates interest, but also let’s people know something that no one else would’ve known.

Feature writing, I believe, is also key to unfolding the facts that exist about a person, place or thing. This is something we desperately need now more than ever.

No hype, just the real deal and the facts about people, places and things that are all too often not known well.
