Secondary market continue to fall for third week in a row.

With less than 6 weeks to go before the Opening Ceremonies for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, here is my weekly update on secondary market Olympic ticket pricing. This update is for June 27th.

Priced continue to fall this week for the “Get In” prices for the these marquee events as all dropped between 10–15%. The biggest drop of the week was for the SW012 Category A ticket for the 200IM finals which is expected to feature Michael Phelps, falling another over 45% down to $595.18. The Category A tickets for both the 100M finals and Opening Ceremonies increased another 4% week over week.

Michael Phelps’ 200IM finals is still more expensive than Usain Bolt’s 100M finals on a “Get In” basis, but the premium Category A tickets for the 100M finals are higher.

The three events being tracked are:
- Opening Ceremonies (ZO001)
- Men’s 100M Finals (AT005)
- Men’s Swimming 200IM Finals w/ Michael Phelps (SW012)

Update for June 27, 2016:
- Opening Ceremonies: Get In: $751.51 (-8%), Category A: $2,222.70 (-4%)
- Men’s 100M Finals: Get In: $232.58 (-9%), Category A: $1,070.12 (+4%)
- Men’s Swimming 200IM: Get In: $274.90 (-16%), Category A: $595.18 (-45%)

Note: Prices are sourced from an aggregation of key ticket providers around the world and will be updated in US dollars each week, inclusive of any fees.
