This has been a Republican wet dream for quite a while, so don’t just pin it on Trump. The GOP opposed Dodd-Frank tooth, nail and reptilian claw, and once it passed they have been doing everything possible to obstruct it. This is on their “Repeal and who-gives-a-fu*k-about replace” list.

One of Hillary’s mistakes was to triangulate (sound familiar?) between Trump and the GOP, in the foolish hope that there would be some principled, moderate Republicans who would support her. Well, we saw how well that worked.

Let’s not repeat that mistake. The GOP has not been a responsible political party for quite a while now, and since November 8 they’ve gone all in with Trump, consequences be damned. We’ll damn them.

The headline of this piece should be “Trump adopts GOP dream of allowing financial advisors to swindle clients.”
