Demolishing lives in the West Bank and Israel

Why do almost all of the respondents to this article take a strong stance, as if all blame resides with the other side? Surely it was wrong — no matter how legal — for Israel to have destroyed the school building. Surely it’s wrong — no matter the reason — that Israel has to survive constant hostility from the many forces set against it. What does it say about us that we are willing to entertain one truth or the other, but not both?
