Autumn events for the KPT

September has arrived, and with it a busy time for the members of the Kentish Piano Trio.

Our leader, violinist Kathy Shave, is busy preparing to play Svendsen’s Romance in the Gala Night At The Proms at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre this Sunday night; and on Weds 9 November, we perform in the Colyer-Fergusson Hall at the University of Kent, as part of their Lunchtime Concert Series – our programme comprises Beethoven’s Ghost Trio and the Elegie by Josek Suk (admission to the concert is free!). Details here; you can also watch the video of our live performance of the second movement of the Beethoven here.

Looking ahead to 2017, our performing diary is already filling up, and we’re delighted to be helping celebrate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Canterbury Music Club in April, in a concert at St Gregory’s Centre for Music, in a programme including music by Frank Bridge, Schubert and The Long Way Home by Faversham-based composer, David Knotts. More details here.

The season of mellow fruitfulness is here: we look forward to seeing you at one of our concerts this Autumn!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
