It does make sense. I myself attended a “Dismantling Racism” workshop in college and I think these kind of indoctrination classes/workshops have only become more common in the past twenty years. They are starting earlier too. The problem is, that there is no evidence that workshops aimed at reducing “implicit bias” actually work (or that “implicit bias” is real); rather, what we do know is that they may actually contribute to greater prejudice. http://nymag.com/scienceofus/2017/01/psychologys-racism-measuring-tool-isnt-up-to-the-job.html
