“Note how Keri seems to think that it shows something about the character of people who automatically assume a given figure is bad even though the given figure isn’t always bad: she says it show, in effect that people who do that are themselves bad. She just calls it ‘running on auto-pilot’ or unfair or somesuch, but she still insists on casting the same kind of judgmental error on those sinners…”

Do I believe they are bad people? I don’t think so. I certainly didn’t argue that. I think they are making bad choices. I’m criticizing the behavior. But maybe you’re right — I do in fact constantly ask myself (despite what you may think) if I am making value judgments on a person, on their very being, versus their behavior or opinion.
