Thank you for sharing this quote! It also brings to mind the verse about turning the other cheek. I now believe turning the other cheek is not some gift you are bestowing on someone who has wronged you. It is a gift you are giving YOURSELF. It is a mode of being that is healthy for you. Yes, it may be something that helps the person who wronged you as well, but it’s mostly about self-growth.
