The Importance of Self Awareness
The term ‘Self Awareness’ gets tossed around nowadays as if everyone’s Self aware and most people don’t even know what it means. Here’s a quick definition:
Conscious knowledge of one’s character, feelings, motives and desires.
If you think you have Self awareness. You don’t. You have to know you have it. You have to feel it.
I’ve known about Self awareness and consciousness for quite a long time now but never knew how to unlock it or be ‘self aware’. I did this and that, some research, tried changing up my mindset, but it was all quite confusing. Things got a ton worse before they got better, and things never even started too bad. This was at the beginning of my high school career. Now I’m 3rd year out of school. About 6 weeks ago, it hit me. Just like that. I can’t even explain why or how in depth because I don’t know, but I felt it. New energy rushing through my body. Suddenly my mindset changed, I never changed it. I grew 1000 times more confident in myself, I started talking to everyone, I had ideas flowing out my ears and I created a business.
Just knowing is the key. If you can analyze each situation, put yourself in other people’s shoes, feel the heat when life decides to take a dump on you then you gain knowledge about yourself. You start realizing things can work when they seemingly can’t. You’ll start noticing how strongly you feel about certain things and how nobody can oppose you on it because you will utterly destroy them with your words. You stop caring what people think. It’s your life, not theirs. If people want to judge, then just realize they’re very insecure of themselves and have no knowledge of their Self. You cannot be bothered by people who are unwilling to seek consciousness because they are ultimately not open to it, maybe think it’s a joke, but that’s why you’ll be living a happy, more fruitful life.
When you come to a state of Self awareness you are now the eyes of the beholder, the ring bearer, the God. You now have the power to do anything and bring anything into your life. You must use your experience but also your ambitions in order to attract what you want. When you find out what it is that you want, then you’re set for life. If you REALIZE, that you could make a ton of money off what you WANT to do (or help people, or live whatever lifestyle you wish to live) then the opportunities are limitless.
You have this new found power, confidence… and you realize that you work a 9–5 office job that makes you miserable. So what do you do?
Every minute and moment before 9 and after 5 should be about your passion. Let’s say you love the guitar, you’ve been playing your whole life, you’re rockin’ and now you have unlimited potential. BUT, you have a little kid, and a wife and cannot join a band. Maybe open a music school, or store, or whatever it is that has to do with music and guitars. Once you have figured out your plan. Quit your bullshit 9–5. This will lead to a happier life.
This was just an example of how Self awareness may help you in your career, but eventually you become so Self aware and aware of other Self’s that you’re completely in tune with the world. You’ll naturally start feeling so grateful, and peaceful. Nothing has to be a rush, patients is also very present and is a must. You’ll be able to make 1, 10, 50 million if you want, find your soul mate, and you’ll have everything you’ve ever wanted.
If you do not put in the work to know YOURSELF, then the world will not put in the work to know you. It won’t give you a thing.
If Self awareness and consciousness was not a real thing, we wouldn’t evolve, we wouldn’t have ever seen people like Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Martin Luther Jr, Rosa Parks, heck we wouldn’t have celebrity’s or Tv’s or anything! It is part of our evolution process and that’s why some people make huge names for themselves and others will never. Not that it’s a bad thing, but regardless, happiness is the ultimate goal and Self awareness is the ultimate way to reach it.
