THERE IS NOTHING THAT IS UNCONTROLLABLE- FIND YOUR HAPPINESS

I want kids who are recent high school graduates, current University/College students and grown adults with careers to really take this in.

First, ask yourself “Am I happy?”

If the answer is yes, then you really don’t need this. If the answer is no, then you do… and you must move on to the next question…

“Why am I unhappy?”

Maybe it’s because you don’t spend enough time with your kids, or girlfriend or parents or even enough time for yourself. Maybe it’s because you don’t have what you want physically like money or a convertible. You maybe feel constant anxiety and/or fear of the unknown. Maybe its straight up you hate your job, friends, life… everything.

I believe it all starts with being confused. Not knowing. Not being sure of anything really, but mainly, your purpose. It’s so tough to just become alive and learn how to speak, read, write and everything else with no explanation of why. I feel like every person at one point or another has contemplated why they existed and if there is actually some path they have to take in order to succeed. We are forced to go to school at a young age, most of us hate school because we’re forced to do it, not because it’s not a good time. By the time high school hits we basically need to see ourselves in the future, because we have to know which classes to take in order to graduate to what we think we want to get into in University. It’s really quite unfair. Kids are ‘graded’ in several areas and told the are good at things and suck in others. We then avoid what we suck at and try at the other stuff. It’s not fun when you have 80’s in certain classes and 50’s in others so your 65% average declares you un-smart compared to the people that are ‘good’ at everything. THIS CONFUSES KIDS. Then we can’t get into our ‘desired’ university, then we get judged by our parents and friends and never get the job we THINK we want. Our purpose becomes blurred by so many things and we start believing we have to do something because it’s ‘life’.

If we naturally, went about our lives trying new things, constantly learning and teaching on our own merits, following what we believe is right for ourselves and not a grade system, there would be no hating of life. If we did what we loved all day, everyday and was able to make money off that then there would be no anxiety, the DRIVE (not complaint) to want more would be there but you would be more content with what you have and be much more grateful for things.

Now you might be already be working in a company and you love your job, but do you love your boss? Do you love all the people you work with? Do you anything else besides the ‘work’? Hopefully… But if not, you don’t truly love your job and these are seemingly uncontrollable factors but if you love the the work, you love putting in the hours, why not do it for yourself? Why don’t you be the boss? Why don’t you make the rules? Why don’t you hire the best workers? Because you’re scared? Because you can’t live in the shits for 36 months while you build your own business? Empower yourself. Make the seemingly uncontrollable, CONTROLLABLE. You own your life, you have so much time still, even if you’re 50… you have lived JUST over half your life where you could physically communicate and live without constant supervision. You have time but it does eventually run out. Eat boxes of KD every night and buy a cheap crappy basement apartment… If you have the vision and you put in the work you’ll be out of there in no time and living happily and more lavishly than ever. If a loved one is going through this, support the shit out of them, do not make it a negative thing.

For the students, in and going in to University/College. Make sure you absolutely love what you’re doing throughout your 2,3,4 years in school because you’ll have to work your ass off in order to compete with all these other students trying to get the same job as you and also pay off your loans. It’s probably just as tough as not going to school… creating an idea, working to get the funds and creating the business/service/practice but you have no debt if you do it smart. If you aren’t doing what you love, then you need to get out of it as soon as you can.

Make sure what you love is practical… don’t think just because you love music you’ll become the next Beyonce or Justin Bieber, you might who knows, but aspire for real goals. Take those dreams and make them reality. If you aspire to build the biggest gym in the world, start by building the smallest, and work your way up. But start with your dreams and work towards reality. Patience is huge. If you truly want it, you’ll get it some day.

Use school right now, to network. I believe the biggest opportunities are coming from who you know and not always necessarily what you do. Sometimes you’re doing nothing and you talk to an old friend who made something in your head click. Then you go to that guy everyone knew in class who now has 45k followers on each of his social accounts so you ask him to repost your idea, you maybe reached 5x what you normally do, and gained 300 followers. THE POINT IS HERE, if you ARE stuck in school until it is done but have this drive then make it work! Start planning now. Start finding what you’re good at and love and figure out out to make some coin.

We live in a world where there hundreds of ways to make good money sitting on your computer at your house all day. NO situation, IM SAYING IT AGAIN…. NO SITUATION, IS UNCONTROLLABLE. You can make it work, you can be happy, all you have to do is LISTEN to yourself. Listen to the voice saying “I want a ferrari parked in front of my 10M dollar estate” or “I just want a humble life, a beautiful family in a safe neighbourhood” and once you start listening, start doing. Take the losses, sell your Polo shirts and Gucci sunglasses because those most likely wont even be around when your making millions or trying to raise a modest family anyway. Live in a shit apartment to save as much money as possible for your ferrari or so that you can afford a house for your future family. Listen to your true Self and go get it. Everyone wants to live a certain lifestyle, just take control and live it.

Make the decision the BE HAPPY and then BE it.
