Intro: A little about me.

As the title suggests, I would like to give an introduction of myself ranging from my interests, a tad bit about my background, and what I want to accomplish with this blog.

INTERESTS:

My hobbies vary and if I were to simplify them I would state that it would be whatever a nerd who is surprisingly athletic, but not to the caliber of those who are much more devoted to sports. A less vague and exact answer would be: Reading, playing video games, watching movies, roaming online forums, learning new stuff ranging from language, history, and politics, sports such as rugby and rock climbing, and walks/conversations with my friends.

BACKGROUND:

I was born on 1995 in Virginia and lived there for the majority of my life. I have both my parents and an older brother. For the first seven years of my life, I lived in a trailer park, until we moved to the countryside to live in your standard house with lots of land to roam around in. I started school at age three and proceeded to attend the same elementary school until the fifth grade. Afterwards, I attended a private school for seven years. Afterwards, I would attend a small college to gain a degree in French.

Yes, I am Latino. My whole family is from Mexico and only recently immigrated to the United States along with several of their brothers, sisters and other relatives. I consider myself Mexican-American (50% American and 50% Mexican) due to: 1. Growing up in America, but constantly exposed to Mexican culture and 2. Never feeling that either country had won me over, thus I consider them both home.

THIS BLOG:

This blog will be multilingual. I want to create posts that deal with language, politics, history, current events, and several personal pieces here and there. I wish to post here biweekly in order to have time to create decent content. I don’t exactly have an end goal, but I would like to discuss with others and see where it ends up. Also, this blog will help me improve upon my writing.

Thank you anyone who took the time to read this. More is sure to come!
