If you did not get a chance to watch CNN’s “State of the Union” hosted by Jake Tapper this morning then you missed it. Once again Bernie Sanders has proven he is only out for Bernie Sanders.
I watched Sanders “Where do we go from Here” speech from the other night and he never mentions Hillary Clinton. He talks much more about Defeating Donald Trump. He also talked about keeping and using your “OUTRAGE” not to lose it but use it.
If Bernie Sanders truly supported the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton he would concede and support Hillary to help increase her following for President which would show in the upcoming Polls.
What this comes down to is BERNIE IS OUT FOR BERNIE! IT’S STILL ALL ABOUT BERNIE’S REVOLUTION AND HAVING ALL OF HIS DEMANDS MET.
Yesterday The Platform Committee met to set up a Platform for the Democratic Convention. Bernie Sanders team did get some concessions on the $15 an hour minimum wage, the death penalty, increased Social Security and several other points of contention for him.
However,Sanders did not get the carbon tax he wanted or the ban of fracking. Sanders did not get his Single Payer Universal Health Care. He did not get a guaranty of “Free College” and the rest of his demands. And they are DEMANDS.
Although Sanders had said in one interview earlier this week he would vote for Hillary on MSNBC he walked it back on CNN with Chris Cuomo saying he’d likely vote for Hillary Clinton. Jake Tapper asked Sanders if that wasn’t sending a message to his supporters that he does not endorse Hillary yet and the wording implies he might not vote for her.
Tapper went on to say 55% of his voters would vote for Hillary but 22% would vote for Trump and 18% said they would bot for the Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson. Sanders said his members of the Platform Committee intend to bring up their issues again when the Committee meets again two weeks in Orlando, and if they don’t get their demands met their they will take it to the Democratic National Convention. In other words he’s not just going along with his demands that were met yesterday. Sanders plans to fight this all the way to the Convention in July.
When Sanders was asked again about his support of Hillary Clinton and getting his supporters behind Hillary Clinton he answered that was up to Hillary to basically make her platform his to earn his supporters. He expressed that Hillary and the Democratic National Committee has not moved far enough to the left. Sanders continues to make this about his Revolution and is not happy with Hillary Clintons plan for Debt Free College and still wants his Tuition Free College added to the Platform as well as his Complete Ban on Fracking
Basically what Sanders keeps saying OVER AND OVER is “I’M GOING TO DO EVERYTHING TO DEFEAT DONALD TRUMP BUT HILLARY IS GOING TO HAVE TO EARN MY VOTERS SUPPORTS, I’M NOT GOING TO TELL THEM TO VOTE FOR HER”.
Bernie is not making himself irrelevant. His demands will not all be met. He needs to get over that. Hillary Clinton won the Nomination by over three times the lead Obama had on her in 2008. Hillary did not demand that all of her ideas on her platform be met before she would endorse President Obama.
Sanders switched to the Democratic Party only to PUSH HIS AGENDA. Sanders is not a Democrat. He is already registered in Vermont for the 2018 Senate Race as an INDEPENDENT. If he TRULY wanted HILLARY CLINTON to beat Trump Sanders would be supporting and campaigning for her at this very moment.
The good news is starting this week ELIZABETH WARREN AND HILLARY CLINTON will be giving their first Campaign Event together in Cincinnati, Ohio. The two Democratic leaders, a campaign release said, “will discuss their shared commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.” Their is a lot of conjecture that Elizabeth Warren will be Hillary’s running mate but that is now what this rally is about. Warren is ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET HILLARY ELECTED PRESIDENT, UNLIKE SANDERS.
Soon President Obama, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and many many other Top Democratic Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors along with many other elected officials will be on the Campaign Trail for Hillary! It is time for Democrats to say “Get behind Hillary Clinton and concede and ENDORSE HER and help Hillary Defeat Donald Trump or GO HOME!”
Bernie is not going to change. Bernie is going to make this about his “REVOLUTION” all the way until the November vote for President.
