The Media is Bad and Good.
Let’s be clear, journalism as we knew it is dead. The Trump Administration has completely changed it. I could go in depth about how Sean Spicer, the White House Press Secretary, has told plain false-hoods to the media during briefings when later that day he was proven wrong. As we saw in the campaign, Trump is not going to change his thoughts and his attitude to the media, so they are sadly going to have to change. The media is going to have to hold President Trump accountable for the lies that are told by him and his cabinet but they should not abuse this power that they have over the american people.
Mika clearly tells us what the media is actually trying to do, control us. The media is good and bad at the same time, good when they cover Trump’s lies and bad when they lie about Trump. More people trust Donald Trump’s executive branch rather than the media according to a Fox News poll. This simply shouldn’t be the case. I have advice for the American People and the electorate who listens to the media, and I also have advice for the media. For the American People, do your own research, take everything with a grain of salt and make sure that the truth is actually the truth. And for the media, tell the truth, don’t exaggerate it for a buzzing headline and more ad revenue, tell the truth for the American People, tell the truth for what’s right, tell the truth for journalistic integrity. History is watching what is happening to the clash between government and media, make sure you are on the right side of it. The media came up with the term “Fake News” yet they have flipped it onto Trump and his movement for shutting down “actual news” and promoting propaganda. This just shows how hypocritical the media is, and it is so easy to get the trust back. So earn it.
