I was so glad to see your thoughtful reply Daisy. I see from your travels on fistfuloflife.com that you’ve had some adventures of your own and learned your own lessons as a traveler.

I’ve been seeing so many articles lately on traveling solo, and while it can be a wonderful experience, my goal here was to share the unglamorous side of it and some things to be wary of. Not knowing exactly what you’re getting into is part of the adventure, but people should be aware of the risks and preparation necessary rather than purely romanticizing it.
