The Final Touches
It’s not as easy as you think
I’m going to keep this one short and sweet
Starting a blog is not easy. There’s so much you have to think about. Hosting, design, layout, CSS, HTML, name of a domain, etc. The list goes on!
When I got the idea and courage to start a blog, I figured it would be a bit easier than this. Man, I was wrong.
It literally took me 2-5 days just to name my blog, and don’t forget, I had to make sure there was a .com domain address available. Go ahead, I dare you to go out and try it for yourself….. Easier said than done, right? After I found something suitable, I now had to figure out how to host the domain. Now if you don’t have any experience with this, it can make things a bit more difficult.
I bought services and products I shouldn’t have signed up for,(I got refunds for things I didn’t need, thankfully), learned about DNS servers, and countless other things I never thought I could comprehend.
In short, I’m not over the learning curve just yet.
The Good News
The blog is nearly complete. The site is actually live now, but I’m just putting the final touches on it. For example, setting up all my social media accounts, verifying the sites with Google and Bing, and making sure it loads up on your smartphone correctly (which is a pain!).
Be ready for an announcement sometime early next week. I’m really excited and nervous about this. This is going to take a HUGE commitment from me, and I already have a busy schedule.
So stay tuned, I know you’ve been patiently waiting. The anticipation has been killing you. All in good time my friends, all in good time.
The feeling is mutual.
