Happy 2019 to all developers of the IOST community! Today we are releasing our 7th week’s Developer Bounty Program update.

This week, IOST launched a survey to community developers which aims at better understanding the general situation of developers and their needs in order to better deliver value to the IOST developer community. One month ago, IOST successfully launched its Developer Bounty Program and received many applications from developers. IOST’s developer community on Slack saw significant growth with many people getting involved and joining the ecosystem.

A strong blockchain is not only equipped with features of high throughput and transparency - it must also be robust and resilient, with high security. Security issues can be seen as pain point of blockchain systems but also one of the strongest requirements for blockchain to be adopted in the other industries.

It’s been four weeks since IOST launched its Developer Bounty Program, let’s see what’s new!

Developer Community:

This week we saw a big increase in the number of members in IOST’s developer community, with more conversations and interactions in the group. With the launch of Testnet Everest 2.0, the final testnet before Mainnet launch in February, things are starting to get very exciting in the developer community! Also for Chinese developers, we will open a Chinese channel for them to better communicate with each other.

Since the launch of the IOST Developer Bounty Program, more and more developers worldwide are joining our community developer group on Slack. To keep building a stronger developer community, we will focus on sharing more information, resources and tutorials around blockchain technologies with our community members, as well as letting more people benefit from concept and value of IOST blockchain.

We are pleased to release our weekly report on IOST Developer Bounty Program. Going forward this update will be released on a Saturday following the Friday review of all completed and claimed development bounties and missions.
