Not Another Bible Pusher

The other day I was out enjoying a nice run in my local community, when I made eye contact with an attractive women. As our eyes locked with each other, a connection of smiles accompanied our obvious beam of stares. As I continued to run, I told myself “moments like that make my morning.”

A few hours later I was on my way to a job interview, when sure enough I came across the same attractive women, I had seen running. However, this time after the connected eye contact and smiles, she introduced herself. She began saying “wow, I saw you on my way to work and now I am seeing you again after work.” We began getting to know each other, when she dropped the bible bomb “would you like to come to a bible study.” At this moment, I went from happy to quite simply annoyed.

In her defense I am sure she was a nice girl, but I get enough request at the University to attend these Christian clubs, that quite frankly I am irritated by all these Bible pushers. I understand it is easy for them to join the masses and base their values on a book that has not been updated in years. However, I feel they are worst than a army recruiter at a local high school. With a vast amount of religious beliefs out there, I am convinced Christians are the most aggressive in their recruitment. So I leave hear with the question “ What is up with the aggressive approach in recruiting me to join your church or is this just a front for some corrupt business that wants my money?”
