Here is the first attempt at mapping the first 60 or so of the nearly 150 the #SOCAP17 scholarshipped entrepreneurs , by geography, the problem they are working and their sector. This is a story I will be editing and adding to, and eventually putting up on the SOCAP site.

Of this first group, 14 are working in Africa, 9 in Central and South America, two in Asia, three in South East Asia, five in India, 21 in the U.S, four in the UK, four in the EU and three in Canada. I will be mapping all of them, and linking them to the SDG they are working, look at their existing funding sources, including grants, (some are non profits),money from challenges and competitions, seed funding, equity, debt, revenue rights, etc.

The geographic acronyms I’m using are Africa: AF, India:In, Asia:As, SEA: Southeast Asia. C/S Central and South America, UK, CA: Canada.

Initial sectors: food,ag forestry: FA energy: E health:H, environment:E, Online access: OA, Social, collaboration: CO, Education/Ed tech: ET Business services/capital: Biz

I will also be mapping product, service, online, process innovation and other criteria that I discover to put them in context
