A Written Selfie

I once read an astrology book that described predicted the specifics of your personality and work life, based on your birthday. As far as my friends and I were concerned it was rather accurate on the personality part. I was self-determined and, responsible, and sensitive to the needs of others needs when appropriate. What I found interesting was when that it said that I could excel in any subject. This book had a point; all my life I enjoyed going to school and learning new subjects. From being excited to go to math class, to showing mom my report card of all A’s and B’s., I’ve never truly hated one any subject.

My interests are too variant varied to list them all, but there are some that stick outare more prominent than others. Astronomy is one of them,; the stars and planets fascinate me, plus and I have my own telescope. I also enjoy discussing politics , I and love to tell people my stories that correlate to my beliefs. My main political focus is the fight against Communism;, I see it as a threat to my freedom and individual’s God given rights.

My strengths are derived from my family and from my past mistakes experiences. My mother has been working in a factory for almost 30 years, because she didn’t go to college, and it is slowly taking a toll on her mind and body. This has motivated me to do well in school, and has given me the will power to succeed in everything I do. I have found Another another strength of mine is problem solving, this comes derives from my excellence in mathematics. Also, my Responsibility spawns from my past. From past challenges, I have learned that the sooner I finish, the less I worry. I have rid of my eliminated procrastination in school in order to keep up with my academics. The issues challenges I have though still face, are ironically products of my strengths. My success in school has plagued me with fear of not living up to my expectations. As my classes become harder, it comes to be the work presents a bigger task to overcome. I have a huge fear of failure, but it only pushes me harder to succeed.

My main goal in life is to take care of my mom. I want to be able to give her a decent retirement, as a patronage thanks for making me the way I am and for all of the struggles she went through experienced while raising me. On the other hand, my current goal is to leave my mom’s house care, and to not need her support anymore. After college, I want to establish my own business and create my own brand of nail polish. I love painting my nails, but there is no “perfect polish.” I can fix that though;, I know what people want and I hope to acquire the skills I need in chemistry to create a polish that is just right. I plan to name my brand Goldilocks, after the fairy tale. I also want to minor in Business so I know what I am doing when I graduate, in order to immediately create my business.

Hillsdale can help me through accomplish these goals by teaching me how to live on my own successfully and prosperously after college and be able to live prosperously. I enjoy the small class size and the high moral standards of the school. Ever since I discovered Hillsdale it has seemed as the perfect college, which will give me the motivation to do my best and be my best.
