I totally agree. Sometimes I’m appalled at the tricks that people pull to get you to pay more for used items. I had to set certain rules for myself, like that I wouldn’t buy from anyone who doesn’t post a photo of the actual item and just uses catalog/retail page images. You also have to read the listings carefully to see how people describe condition and flaws. Just because a dress retails for a lot new, doesn’t mean it’s worth nearly as much if it’s been well-worn. I like that Poshmark takes the guess work out of shipping for sellers by providing labels, but I do agree that the $6.95 shipping is steep — especially if you’re buying from multiple sellers. That being said, I’ve clearly found things that I love on that site, so some people are doing this right.
