Love your reasons! These resonated with me. I had an epiphany a while back that, while I loved doing UX interviews to help improve products and services for people, I could actually just cut the products and services out of the equation and just talk to people all day to help them improve. Which is to say, I was much more interested in their motivations for themselves than their motivations to buy stuff!
