Couldn’t agree more! I’m very familiar with the business, as I was a salesman for about 9 months 25 years ago, I hated it and quit. I’ve learned ways to avoid most of it by negotiating over the phone, but it takes patience and tenacity.

The process you encountered began 50 years ago and unfortunately has changed little. I am trying to change the game and have developed an application that gives the consumer information about their car, first to see if it makes sense to trade in their car and buy a new car and then compare their current cars information against a new car, plus trade in value and financing options. It also helps the dealer understand what you’re driving and your driving habits so s/he can help you by first having a conversation about your needs and then doing as much as possible for you before you come in.
