I can’t help it. This is making me twitch: it was NOT the dunkin donuts / baskin robbins that is now Sandouka ramen shop. It was The Tasty, which was adjacent to the Wursthaus, both of which succumbed to Abercrombie & Fitch, which is now the CVS.
For laughs, enjoy the freudian stamps on the frequent-diner card they give you at Sandouka…my brother handed it to me, and said, “Do those look to you like…?” yes, I think someone making the rubber stamp had a little laugh that day. Cheap thrills, I guess. Or puerile ones, you decide.
As for the bookstores — I love them, don’t knock them, it’s better than yet ANOTHER dunkin donuts, starbucks, or [chain store outlet]. If you want to argue about it, you’ll have to look for me clutching my drink at Charlie’s or the Cellar.
