Ten years ago, Black Independent Cinema icon Pam Grier visited the University of Colorado-Boulder with the Miramax College Tour. She sat down with film historian Jack Hanley and filmmaker Chris Leising to discuss her musical influences, guerrilla filmmaking at the forefront of the Blaxploitation Movement, deconstructing kung-fu movies with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and her (as of yet) unrealized Stagecoach Mary passion project.

The interview was conducted by Jack Hanley; filmmaker Chris Leising crafts a filmic homage piece with footage sequences from WOMEN IN CAGES, COFFY, and FOXY BROWN. You can follow his work here.

A special thanks to Pam Grier, Miramax, Balatbat Productions, New World Pictures, American International Pictures, Robert Fripp and Brian Eno.
