This is very insightful and relates to some interesting facts I learned with/from my partner this week about the feeling of emotions and the neurotransmitters of the human brain.

Women have higher doses of oestrogen, saritonin, and oxytocin than men do. And for longer periods of time. These components are the chemical compounds of love, nurturing, and affection. They are especially high in mothers.

I read that all of these chemicals release in exponential doses when giving birth. This forces the mother and new baby to bond. Where does the father fall in place in all this? Well, fathers expect a child, their oestregen levels dicipate. But their testosterone boosts and have a need to CONTROL. They question in silence if the child is theirs. Only after a year, do they get over it. In his mind he is above his female partner and she is not equal in strength. If things in the relationship go awry, it of course is not his fault. He is naturally built not to give a shit.

Only very few men see this in themselves and eventually bond with their child when they are older. But most put on a show. It’s not his real feelings to stay and provide. His very biology is telling him to spread his seed and move on.
