Klimax는 Klaytn 내 유일의 무기한 선물 거래소로, 더 낮은 거래비용과 높은 레버리지를 활용해 효율적인 거래 기능을 제공하고자 개발 되었습니다. 하지만 목표 대비 적은 거래가 이뤄지고 있어 유의미한 프로토콜 수익을 얻지 못했습니다.
런칭 이후 여러 개선안을 고민하고 준비했으나, 기존 문제를 해결하고 프로토콜의 목표를 달성하기 어렵다고 판단했습니다. 이에 따라 프로토콜의 운영을 종료하게 되었고, 종료와 함께 아래 내용을 공지 드립니다.
1. KMX — oUSDT 교환
KMX 홀더 분들께 공지 시점부터 이전 30일 평균 가격으로 oUSDT 로 KMX 를 교환하실 수 있도록 하고자 합니다. 교환 기능은 2023년 11월 22일 17시부터 가능합니다. Klimax 프로토콜에서 그 동안 발생한 매출만으로는 현재 KMX 가격대로 교환을 해드릴 수 없어 부족한 부분은 팀의 재원을 활용합니다.
[KMX — oUSDT 교환 절차]
Klimax 종료에 따른 KMX — oUSDT 교환 배분 절차는 다음과 같은 순서로 진행됩니다.
1) https://klimax.finance/kmx-exchange 접속
2) 보유하고 있는 KMX 를 oUSDT 로 교환
3) 교환비에 따른 oUSDT 수령
[KMX 교환 비율]
- 1 KMX = 0.175 oUSDT
프로토콜 운영기간 동안 발생한 매출 전체에 팀의 재원을 더해 Pangeaswap pool에서 거래 되는 금액을 price impact, 수수료 없이 거래하는 비율과 동일하게 책정했습니다. 그간 프로토콜 매출 팀 운영을 목적으로 전혀 사용하지 않았음에도, KMX > oUSDT 교환에 필요한 유동성을 공급하기에 부족한 부분이 있는데, 팀 재원을 사용해 교환을 제공합니다.

2. 신규 포지션, KLP 매수 중단 및 기존 포지션 종료, KLP 판매
공지와 함께 신규 포지션을 만들거나 KLP를 구매하는 기능이 중단 됩니다.
KLP 를 보유하신 분들은 공지시점으로부터 30일 후(2023년 12월 18일 14:00:00)까지 KLP 를 판매하실 수 있습니다.
2023년 12월 18일 14:00:00 부터는 KLP 판매 기능이 제공되지 않습니다.

Dear Klimax Community,
We are announcing the detailed schedule for the termination of the Klimax service.
Klimax, as the only perpetual futures exchange in Klaytn, was developed to provide efficient trading features with lower transaction costs and higher leverage. However, due to less trading than targeted, we have not been able to generate meaningful protocol revenue.
Despite contemplating and preparing various improvements since the launch, we have determined that it is difficult to resolve the existing issues and achieve the protocol’s goals. Consequently, we have decided to terminate the operation of the protocol and announce the following:
1. KMX — oUSDT Exchange
For KMX holders, we intend to enable the exchange of KMX for oUSDT at the average price of the past 30 days from the announcement. The exchange function will be available from 17:00 on November 22, 2023. Although never used for team operation, as the revenue generated by the Klimax protocol so far is not enough to exchange at the current KMX price, we will use the team’s funds to cover the shortfall.

The distribution process for the KMX — oUSDT exchange due to the termination of Klimax will proceed in the following order:

The total revenue generated during the protocol operation period plus the team’s funds were used to set the exchange rate equal to the price impact-free and fee-free trading rate in the Pangeaswap pool.

2. Termination of New Positions, KLP Purchase, and Closure of Existing Positions, KLP Sale
With this announcement, the ability to create new positions or purchase KLP will be discontinued.
Those who have KLP can sell their KLP until 30 days from the announcement (until 14:00:00 on December 18, 2023).
From December 18, 2023, at 14:00:00, the functions to sell KLP will no longer be provided.
