Methods to Achieve User Delight
Today we touched on how to achieve an empathetic approach to our design process. We spoke about how our approach should be treated as if we were helping a friend solve a problem. In this article the author covers multiple ways in which to achieve user delight. Beyond the tips to achieve user delight, one section I noted was the “oh we can fix that later” mindset. I find this important because although we may be able to fix an application or website as we develop, first impressions can be extremely critical when dealing with user adoption. Each design approach should encompass the idea of delight to prevent loss of users.
