Meet Nat Hunter of Machines Room, East London’s favourite makespace

As you may know, for the last five months we have been Makers in Residence at Machines Rooms, an east London makerspace open to the public. Nat Hunter is its Strategic Director.

For years Nat has been an important advocate for makerspaces and the role that they play in distributed manufacturing. Machines Room has become a platform for developing those ideas in London.

We have known Nat for a few years and she has supported us through thick and thin. Nat and the Machines Room team were there to welcome us when we arrived back to London from China, with the machine in tow. We couldn’t be luckier in terms of the support they have shown us and the community we are now a part of at Machines Room.

It is exciting for us to think that in the coming months, makerspaces like this one will be welcoming makers to use the Kniterate machine and platform to experiment and create new garments and accessories.

Do you run a makerspace or know someone that does?

Please reply or share this survey for makerspaces with anyone who might be interested.

We really value your input.

Thanks to everyone for reading this and a big thanks to Nat, Gareth, Kristin and everyone at Machines Room for their continued support!
