Book-of-the-day – Benjamin Franklin by Walter Isaacson.

He was, during his eighty-four-year-long life, America’s best scientist, inventor, diplomat, writer, and business strategist. Here are few top takeaways from this book.
1) “ had faith in the wisdom of the common man and felt that a new nation would draw its strength from what he called “the middling people.” Benjamin Frankin had faith in the common man, despite his success he was more comfortable around artists and thinkers than politicians and millionaires.
He was REAL.
2) “But the most interesting thing that Franklin invented, and continually reinvented, was himself”
Learn from this attitude.
This was a man who was not afraid of change, but embraced it.
Constantly changing his image to fit whatever situation he found himself in, he reinvented his character many times in order to achieve what he wanted. But most of all the change was authentic not an act. Rooted in reality.
3) “A successful publisher and consummate networker with an inventive curiosity”
Constantly experimenting and tinkering different ideas, he had a fascinatingly curious mind.
But what makes franklin great was his networking ability. The fact he was so real made him relatable and he actively networked with great people, thinkers and common folk.
4) “His morality was built on a sincere belief in leading a virtuous life, serving the country he loved, and hoping to achieve salvation through good works”. Achieving salvation through good work. Imagine the world we would live in if everyone thought of life in this way.
Do good work.
Stay Great 👊💯
