Here at Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey, we know the key to making a significant impact is having a strong team behind us. The amazing board of directors that lead this organization use their experience and efforts to help support breast cancer education and outreach programs in our 13-county service area.

“My mission as a board member is to try and get the word out about what Susan G. Komen does, while using my talents as a fundraiser to support the cause,” said Mary Ellen Meara, board member and breast cancer survivor. “Giving back to an organization that I relied on when I was going through a tough time is important to me.”

Outside of their day-to-day lives, they are dedicating their time, experience and support to our mission. Consisting of nine hardworking women and men, with expertise in fields ranging from commercial banking to medicine, one thing they all have in common is their dedication to making a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

“This is such a worthwhile organization and the work they do is invaluable to so many,” said Jason T. Haugh, treasurer. “Their mission to end breast cancer forever is one that I strongly support.”

Breast cancer is unacceptable. It drains a person, a family and a community. With the dedication to community involvement and commitment to the Komen mission, our leaders will help fulfill our vision of a world without breast cancer.
