We ❤ Retro!

Nokia has just announced that the best selling mobile phone EVER — the Nokia 3310 — is being re-released. OK, so it was originally released in 2005 but that’s pretty old for a mobile phone so it our minds that’s retro. In the spirit of all things vintage, we’re taking a trip down memory lane and exploring all the older things that are back in fashion.

Vinyl Records

Forget streaming music — everything’s better on vinyl

In the last 12 months, vinyl records have overtaken download sales for the latest singles and albums making it official: retro is back. So dust off your grandparents old record player (or buy your own… with USB ports) and break out the records. David Bowie, Nina Simone, Pink Floyd — house parties have never been better.

Classic Sneakers

Jealous? You should be.

Fashion is all about finding old ideas and making them new again — but one thing that never changes are sneakers. From the catwalk to the high street, classic sneakers are always in style whatever your look. And let’s face it, the more battered they look the better. Our favourites are retro-style Nike Blazers, available in low and mid styles.

Signature Sweets

We’ll take a quarter-pound of everything, please.

Leave your cactus flavoured, matcha infused coconut water at the door — vintage food is back with a bite. Everything from cocktails at your local bar (tried a Sloe Royale? Yum!) to naughty little homemade cakes, it’s all making us very happy. Just a taste of retro sweets is enough to make you feel like a kid again.

Stepping Back In Time

Where are you going on holiday this year — 1968?

Leave your troubles behind in the present and take a break in the past. Taking a vintage vacation is all the rage and we’re loving it. Caravan holiday? Make it a vintage Gypsy caravan! Prefer hotels? No problem — a couple of nights stay in an old, grand building feels like you’re stepping into the past. Don’t worry — I’m sure all the stresses of modern life will be waiting for you when you return.

We love retro! It’s as clear cut as black and white.
