Mishkal Mosque: the timber marvel at Kuttichira, Kozhikode.

Located on the western side of Kozhikode city, the oldest mosque in Kozhikode is as beautiful and unique as our place itself. The teal blue coloured four storeyed wooden structure doesn’t have cupolas and minarets, and resembles a traditional temple (Gopuram-style arches and traditional tiled roof). The harmonious integration of Islam with the indigenous architectural style is the manifestation of our Kozhikoden plurality….

Visit Mishkal Mosque and experience Kozhikode.

Info: The mosque has 47 doors, 24 carved pillars and a prayer hall that can accommodate 400 people.
