History of python

python is one of the general purpose, High level, Object oriented and Interpreted programming language.

1. Python was developed by “Guido van Rossum” in 1989 while working at Centrun Wiskunde and informatica(CWI) at Netherland.
2. But officially python was made available to public in 1991. The official date was 20th Feb 1991.
3. The prodecessor of python programming language is ABC programming language.
4. The name of python was selected the TV show “Monty python flying circus” which was broadcast in BBC from 1969 to 1974.
